It is one of the second generation cities.
It was established by Cabinet decree (1290/1982). It lies along Km
9-15 and 7 Km deep, right of Cairo : Belbais desert road, from the
west, lies Cairo – Belbais
road, Km 4 – 16 ) and
from the south Cairo – Ismailia road, Km 26 ).
The city is connected with other cities through:
Public Transport Authority
commuter buses till abbaseya. Marg Metro terminus – Salam city –Tahrir Square– Imbaba -
Basateen. Greater Cairo bus commuter lines till Abbaseya and Shubra El
khaima.
The city is connected

districts .
