It is characterized by its elevated area. ::   City transport    :: The city is connected with other cities through : Public transport authority commuter bus lines with Alexandria – Ameriya – north coast. Service cars to Alexandria & Ameriya. The city is connected locally through :   Buses connecting the industrial and residential zones and city districts. 700 million pounds has been funded to start construction of a railway line to connect the city of Borg El-Arab with Alexandria city .It will have been completed by 30 / 4/2011 .
