NUCA Accomplishments

 

Investments : LE 43.6 billion pounds in all sectors (Housing - Services - Facilities)other than what was spent on wages and loan interests .

Total mass of the new urban cities : 342 thousand acres other than the touristic villages and cities under construction (new Akhmeem – new Luxor ).

Land provided and under provision with utilities : 194 thousand acres distributed as follows :

Housing : 98 thousand acres

Industrial :42 thousand acres

Commercial-Utilities: 54 thousand acres

1)    housing Sector :
Total number of housing units implemented in the new cities, 933 thousand units  other than the national housing project and “ebny baytak” units  
• Number of housing units implemented by NUCA : 331 thousand housing units.
 • Number of housing units implemented by the private sector: 602 thousand housing units

155 thousand residential plots were sold in new cities (buildings-villas) 43 thousand of which were sold by public auction system
  
 In addition to the Announcement of the availability of 18 thousand acres in the new cities to provide excellent services to residents of these  cities and 9 thousand acres were allocated .

2 – Service Sector :

Total number of service buildings in new cities are 2717 service building including :

1170 service buildings implemented by NUCA

106 service buildings under implementation by NUCA

1133 service buildings implemented by private sector and other parties .

308 service buildings under implementation by private sector and other parties

3 – infrastructure  and Utilities Sector :

Water

29 water stations were implemented as follows:

9 wells stations -6 compact water stations – 14 superficial purification plants  

Total capacity of 2.7 million m3/day

Water networks has been implemented in new cities with total length of 10138 km

7 superficial purification stations are currently under implementation with total capacity of 2 million m3/day

Water networks are under implementation in new cities with total length of 878 km

 Waste Water :
26 wastewater stations were implemented as follows:

11 oxidation ponds – 5 compact units – 10 mechanical treatment plants with total capacity of 920 thousand m3/day

Total length of wastewater networks in the new cities : 6954 km

Under implementation 7 wastewater stations as follows :

2 oxidation ponds – 5 mechanical treatment plants with total capacity of 680 thousand m3/day

Electricity :

41 electricity transformer stations were implemented with total capacity of 3650 m.p.a

Implemented electricity networks Total lengths 44022 km

Under implementation electricity networks in new cities are 7600 km
Roads and Communication :

Total length of roads networks in new cities 7560 km

Total length of roads networks under implementation 1893 km

35 communication centers were implemented with total capacity of 1.5 million phone line

Total length of implemented communication networks : 8233 km

Total length of communication networks under implementation 1343 km
